About a month ago I joined LinkedIn.
I didn’t really think too much about it. I joined it because Millhouse had been using it for over a year and he was connecting with some people that I wanted to connect to.
So I joined.
Now since I’ve joined, I’ve gotten a lot of messages. They are mostly from people that I know or used to work with asking questions about my current job and how I managed to stick it out that long. Nothing really earth shattering.
Then I started to get messages from head hunters.
Apparently my work history made me a good target for head hunters and people wanted me to start sending them my resume because they all had positions for me.
All these positions would be awesome for Millhouse.
But these headhunters never reached out to him.
Whenever I get an offer that I think would suit him, I forward his resume instead of mine. So far no headhunter has said anything about me doing this.
So I am hoping that they are taking his resume seriously.
I just find this whole situation very ironic. Millhouse is the one that would fit the position but I’m the one that people are reaching out to.
Strange.
