The death of my laptop

Baby has a slight obsession for things that can seriously harm him.  He is forever scaling the couch to try and reach the blinds; he tries to climb the bookcase and has made numerous attempts to dive head first into the bathtub.  But his most favourite thing to do is to play with electrical cords**.  He likes to pull on them until they come loose from whatever it is they are attached to and then he drags them around like a trophy*, usually as I chase him around trying to take it from him.

 

Now I am fully aware of this and I am completely to blame for what happened.  I blog and read blogs in bed.  When I go to bed, I plug in my laptop and put it on my side table.  Usually, I am really good at blocking Baby from getting anywhere near my side table but I let me guard down and Baby got my charger.  It wasn’t plugged on at the time.  It was sitting on the top of the side table>  baby got a hold of it and promptly broke it.

 

Now I have no way of charging the battery.  And because of that I have no way of actually using my laptop because I don’t have an adapter.  So I am stuck using my phone and sneaking on Millhouse’s laptop when he is not on it.  I have found some cheap chargers online but I won’t be able to actually get a hold of it until next week.    So in the meantime I bought some eyelash growth products.

 

*That Baby is part ninja and he even though I am constantly on him, he manages to escape my eagle eyes and go after the cords.

 

** The only cords that he has access to are things that are no plugged on and are put away or in the process of being put away or disposed of.  He has been known to crawl into the back of the closet and reemerge with some long ago, forgotten about flat iron or breast pump.
