Things that the daycare has taught me: Mat’s Christmas Concert edition

• 15 one year olds do not want to sit quietly when they see their parents arrive early to their class.
• 15 one year olds do not understand, that even though ever other day they leave as soon as their parents arrive, on the day of the concert they have to sit down with their parents and not go to their cubby for their coats and boots.
• 15 one year olds do not change to their routine even if there are bells involved.
• Do not get in the way of the children that have mastered walking when the Cheetos come out.  They will run you over with their adorable little waddly legs to get at them.
• Out of the 15 one year olds, only three will remain with the teachers to “sing” their songs.  The others will go over and sit with their parents and refuse to go back to the designated sitting spot.
• Out of the 15 one year olds there will be:  one poopy diaper, three runny noses, one child mesmerized by a pair of mens dress boots and two children eating bells.
• 15 one year olds having a Christmas concert makes for some awesomely adorable pictures.
