The ever evolving Santa letter

Maks has an ever changing letter to Santa.  From the time it was written to now, it’s changed so much.  He started out really, really, really wanting a remote controlled car.  Then he changed his mind and really, really, really wanted an iPhone.  And now he has changed his mind again and really, really, really wants a crayon maker.

As Santa’s go to elf in my house, all this flip flopping really messes me up.  Just when I think that I have Maks’ list all figured out, he turns around and changes things up on me.  I know that he’ll be pretty happy with whatever he gets and that he won’t notice if he gets a radio control car instead of a crayon maker.

I think.

But I’m not sure.  He has a hell of a memory and I don’t want him to think that Santa let him down because he didn’t get the thing that he really, really, really wanted.  I can always tell him that Santa didn’t get his last letter or that he didn’t send it to Santa in time but I am hoping he is happy with what he gets and doesn’t realize it’s not what he asked for.  It would be so much easier if he asked for something completely out of left field like a custom mattress.
