Random Thought Tuesday: The “Going Out with a Bang” Edition
2011 is going out as a year to remember and I’m not sure if it’s going out good or bad yet.
- Hubby has been laid off. He makes more than me so this is a big blow but we saw it coming so we were somewhat prepared but it still really sucks. Especially since it is so close to Christmas. *
- In an attempt to get some extra cash into the house, I have started trying to sell some items on eBay. One of Millhouse’s friends such down one of his stores and let Millhouse have some of his stock to sell online. I figured that selling citizen watches would be easy. I was beyond wrong. I’ve discovered that I so suck at eBay selling. And after selling a brand new pair of shoes for $0.99, Millhouse has taken over the eBay selling.
- I have bought a big tub of Slim Fast powder. I am going to give the Slim Fast diet a whirl. I have never used Slim Fast before but my eating has really gotten out of control. No matter how I try, I cannot get my overeating under control and the one thing about the Slim Fast diet is how structured it is. In a day I can have two shakes, three snacks at 100 calories each and one 500 calorie meal. I can structure a meal plan that suits me. I just hope that my crazy cravings don’t throw me off track.
- I went to my work Christmas party. That gets its own blog post.
- I have tried to wrap presents four times in the last week and a half. Thus far, I have no presents wrapped. Every time I try to get them wrapped something happens; the kids bombard me, Millhouse takes over the livingroom, or I fall asleep. I am going to try again this weekend. Hopefully, I can get it done and over with.
*We were able to buy at least one present for everyone on our list before the money stopped. So everyone will get a gift, I’m really happy about that.
